Yasemin Trollope

Since starting Rite of Passage Funerals on the Gold Coast in 2018, I’ve learned how to navigate the funeral industry and create a trusted funeral brand that helps create modern and meaningful funeral services.

Without ‘traditional’ training, I’ve been able to bypass the traditional mentality when it comes to funerals and create my own unique approach to honouring life that’s truly personalised, inclusive and heartfelt.

The results speak for themselves; I’ve been featured in Harper’s Bazaar, Mamamia, The Melissa Ambrosini Show, 10 Daily, Body + Soul, Women’s Health, Gold Coast Bulletin and many more, and most importantly helped hundreds of families create the farewell their person deserves.

Oliver Thomson

With years of experience in the funeral industry, I am passionate about bringing my warmth, humour and intuition to provide people with the comfort and relief needed at times of losing their loved ones.

With hundreds of unique funeral ceremonies under my belt, I have the experience and know-how to help you not just survive the funeral industry - but thrive in it.

I’ve aligned with Picaluna Funerals as a Funeral Planner, and work as an independent Funeral Celebrant (and Marriage Celebrant) helping families all over Sydney and beyond. I’m known for going off-script and speaking from the heart, something I learned in my years of theatre training.
