WHO CREATED THE FUNERAL FIX?
The Funeral Fix was co-founded by Yasemin Trollope and Oliver Thomson — two experienced Funeral Celebrants and Funeral Planners who saw a need for modern, heartfelt celebrant training. With years of lived experience in the industry and a passion for elevating end-of-life care, they’ve designed training that is practical, inclusive, and deeply aligned with today’s needs.

Are your courses recognised or accredited?
While there’s no formal accreditation required to be a Funeral Celebrant in Australia (or many other regions), The Funeral Fix offers certification upon successful course completion. More importantly, we’re known and respected within the industry — and our graduates are increasingly being sought out by forward-thinking Funeral Directors and families.
Where are you based, and do you work with international students?
We’re proudly based in Australia, but all of our online content is accessible globally. We welcome students from all over the world — especially those seeking a modern, inclusive, and compassionate approach to funeral celebrancy.

DO I NEED ANY SPECIFIC TYPE OF DEVICE OR EQUIPMENT?
Just internet connection, and a smart phone, computer or tablet. Oh, and we also recommend Facebook, just so you can join our community.
What does the assessment involve?
We’re not here to stress you out or worry you about ‘tests’, but in order make this course certified we needed to create an assessment. Don’t worry, you’ve got this! Think about your shiny certificate at the end.
The assessment itself includes Q&As about what you’ve learned so far, and then asks you to write a ceremony based on a case study (we created options so you can choose one that lights you up) for submission. The best part about this is that you get feedback from Oliver and Yaz, and can take that feedback even deeper by booking a 30 minute coaching call with one of them to really nut out your plans moving forward.
Can you Tell me more about this coaching call?
Sure! We wanted to offer another layer of learning in The Funeral Fix and recognised that having the option to workshop your new skills 1-on-1 with us would really benefit you moving forward.
Your course fee includes 1 x 30-minute coaching call with either Oliver or Yaz, and can be used to take a deep dive into any areas you want to work on. That might be help with your ceremony writing, assistance in aligning with Funeral Directors, marketing and branding yourself in this space, meeting with clients, or getting comfortable with death. It’s your time to utilise our skills and knowledge, so go for it!
how much does the funeral fix cost?
The Funeral Fix is AUD$1200. That includes 8 video and PDF modules and templates and lifetime access to our Facebook community. All prices are in Australian Dollars.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yep, we sure do. Three payments of AUD$420 or one payment of AUD$1200.
Can i share my login details?
No way! We’re all for sharing the love, but sharing login details isn’t allowed. They’re strictly for your eyes only. Just in case you’re tempted, we should let you know that we track multiple downloads, so we’ll know.
